An affordable, well-regulated trading platform you can trust.

Your capital is at risk.

Established in 2008, Plus500 is based in Israel. Their subsidiaries are very well-regulated by a number of governing bodies. These include:

They now have over 1,000,000 traders and operate in many countries around the world. The company that owns and operates the Plus500 platform is listed on the AIM section of the London Stock Exchange, and by 2014, their market capitalization value reached over $1 billion. They now have multiple subsidiaries that use the Plus500, but all are very highly regulated.

Plus500 is a CFD service provider, offering thousands of financial instruments with free real-time quotes and online support.

Features & Key USP

Plus500 is one of the highest regulated trading companies, and as such, their trading platform adheres to very high standards. They offer more than 2,000 instruments, which include dozens of Forex pairs, shares, commodities, indices, ETFs, and more. Leverage is offered up to 1:300.

This is a great option for anyone who wants to go forth into the world of financial trading independently, without support and sales teams constantly bothering them. In fact, Plus500 doesn’t even have a sales team.

Plus500 also offers several fantastic risk management tools and the option to set a guaranteed limit and stop loss price level. This really helps to ensure that users who don’t want to be exposed to too much risk will not lose excessive amounts of money.

They were also one of the original trading companies to jump in on BitCoin trading, which were only made available as CFDs recently, in 2013. Their BitCoins expire monthly and their leverage is 1:300.

Account Types

Plus500 only offers two different types of accounts: a demo account and a standard account. While the options are limited here, it does offer the consumer simplicity, and the standard account has plenty of advanced features.

The demo account allows users to practice trading with virtual currency before switching over to real money. Once you’re ready, you simply select the “Real money” account mode in order to start trading on a standard account.

Trading Platforms

Plus500 offers a proprietary desktop trading platform that has a simple interface and is easy to use. It is web-based, so you don’t have to download or install anything to your computer. They also offer a mobile platform in the form of a trading app, which allows you to trade on-the-go with Android, iOS, and Windows.

Countries Available

Plus500 is available throughout most of Europe, Asia, and Latin America, but their platform is not offered in Canada, the US, or most of the Middle East.

Final Verdict

While Plus500 isn’t the most well-known trading platform, they are known for introducing BitCoin to their trading services, and they are a very transparent, well-regulated option.

Because they haven’t been around for as long, they have fewer users as many other options, and they aren’t as widely available geographically speaking. However, they do offer a wide range of language options.

Finally, they are one of the more affordable options, with no deposit or commission. Of course, with affordability, one must sacrifice some features. Plus500 has a fairly robust trading platform with over 2,000 instruments, but they don’t offer multiple account types or platform options.
