A solid platform for new Bitcoin traders.
While Markets isn’t the oldest trading platform out there, they’ve been around long enough to prove themselves within the trading community. Originally started as SafeCap Investments in 2006, they’ve been in operation under their current name for just over 8 years, and they launched Bitcoin capabilities in 2013.
Markets is regulated by CySEC, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition to Bitcoin CFDs, they now offer trading in majors, minors, exotics, and several other cryptos such as Ethereum and Litecoin.
Markets is headquartered in Cyprus, regulated by CySEC, and secured by SSL. They are a fairly large and trusted Forex and CFD provider, and they are known for being very user-friendly and offering a wide range of trading assets. They offer trading on over 2,000 assets, including hundreds of currencies, commodities such as oil, gold, and silver, many indices such as MICEX, Spain35, Sweden30, FTSE Italy, STOXX50, and stocks.
They have a low initial minimum required deposit of $100, which is particularly great for new traders who simply want to get their feet wet. No fees or commissions are taken either.
If you’re looking for a variety of payment options, Markets accepts PayPal, most major debit and credit cards, and Skrill.
They’ve also partnered with the popular football club Arsenal F.C. since 2014. Customers of Markets have the chance to win a Markets.com-Arsenal F.C. VIP Hospitality Pack and see one of their games in person.
While Markets doesn’t offer a wide variety of account types, they do offer more than some trading platforms. For example, they offer a free demo account, and an account to those with a minimum initial deposit of $100.
For their standard account, you must deposit at least $2,500. This will give you access to their “news to mobile” service. If you deposit $20,000 or more, you’ll get a VIP account with Markets. This comes with a number of perks, such as full access to their news to mobile service and free FX signals sent to you through SMS.
Markets offers two trading platforms: their Markets mobile app and Markets Web Trader, their web-based platform. Both are developed in-house and offer advanced tools and features, although their web-based platform is more complex than their mobile app. The mobile app works on all Android and iOS phones and can be found in the app store or Google Play.
Markets is a global platform that is available in most countries, excluding Japan, Canada, Belgium, and the USA.
These guys are not pioneers when it comes to trading platforms, or even cryptocurrency trading, but they are doing everything right. They offer a huge range of assets, especially CFDs, and they’ve really hopped onto the cryptocurrency bandwagon.
On top of that, they’ve got a range of account types. From free demo accounts, to accounts with a $100 minimum deposit, to standard accounts, to VIP accounts, there’s something for everyone at Markets.com. Their platforms are easy to use, even for new traders.
Their customer support team is one of the best. They’re very communicative, speak multiple languages, and are located in a variety of locations around the globe in order to offer constant assistance.
While Markets doesn’t stand out above the pack by offering anything particularly unique, they are good at what they do, and they offer the standards in a way that’s reliable and useful. Markets is a great option for someone who wants access to a wide range of trading possibilities but isn’t ready for more advanced, customizable platforms.
